Ansonia Apartments
(added to Drake Court Historic District)
2221-23 Jones Street
1929
Period Revival/Arts and Crafts Style
Designated Omaha Landmark: March 27, 1984

The Ansonia Apartment building, configured in a U-shape that surrounds a landscaped courtyard, is very respectful of its context. The street facing end walls of the 1929 structure continue the rhythm and massing of the earlier adjacent Dartmore Apartments, which along with the Ansonia are part of the Drake Court and Dartmore Apartments Historic District. Stylistically, the Ansonia Apartment building displays both Arts and Crafts and Period Revival elements.

(This property is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places as part of a historic district.)
