Union State Bank
Building Designed by the prominent Omaha architectural firm of John Latenser and Sons, the Union State Bank Building represents a very early use of the Art Deco style of architecture in Omaha. The building predates other local Art Deco structures by several years. The design reflects the spirit of modernity instilled in Omaha architects in the 1920s and 1930s by the Nebraska State Capitol Competition, the 1925 Exposition des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, and leading architectural journals of the period.
