This unique property is
actually a single family house and five attached row house apartments. Built by Herbert
Van Closter, the structures are representative of the type of commercial residential
architecture constructed in Omaha in the late 1880's when elaborate trolley networks
opened many new areas to development and structures were quickly erected by real estate
investors along major routes. This group of buildings is in the heart of the Park Avenue
neighborhood along the streetcar route to Hanscom Park.
