Located on the campus of Creighton University, St. John’s Collegiate Church was dedicated in 1888, just ten years after the school opened. A center of worship for Omaha’s most influential and wealthy Catholics in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, St. John’s Church has played a unique role in Omaha Catholicism by serving as both a collegiate and parish church. The church was designed in the  Gothic revival style by Omaha architect and builder Patrick Creedon in 1887 and completed by architect Jacob Nachtigall in 1923.
