Youth Commission

Purpose

To provide the Mayor with:

Outreach opportunities to young people throughout the Omaha community
Suggestions for improving community relations between City departments and youth
Ways to incorporate the ideas of young people into long-term planning

Policy

The commission is composed of one high school junior and senior, selected by their principal, from each high school in the Omaha area. It meets the second Monday of every other month under the direction of the Mayor's office.
