The Finance Department is responsible for accounting and internal auditing; budget formulation and execution under the Mayor's supervision.

Finance is also responsible for City's purchasing and stores; collection of miscellaneous revenues and such other treasury management activities as are not assigned to the City Treasurer; equipment pool; real estate buying, selling, exchanging, leasing, and renting; and any centralized secretarial, duplicating, or clerical services.
