Thank you for visiting our MLK Celebration website. This year marks the 26th anniversary of the King Federal Holiday.
Reverend Dr. Marting Luther King, Jr. devoted his life to advancing racial equality, social justice and opportunity for everyone. Through his words, example and sacrifice, he challenged us all to take action in our communities, stand up for injustice and remind us all of our humanity.
“Honoring the Legacy: Take Action Now!” is a collective of city-wide celebrations honoring his life commitment to and passion for serving others. Dr. King once said, “Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve”. It is our hope that you will be inspired and continue his legacy by using your gifts, talents and time to better the lives of others by impacting our local and global community.
